My specialty is helping clients deliver business and technology solutions that meet functional and timeline requirements–all in a way that teaches organizations and project teams to do it again using repeatable processes.
As a consultant for over 15 years I’ve worked closely with clients to develop a project delivery culture and help them build a track record of project success. I use many techniques, among them:
- Mentoring project managers and technical leads to improve communication skills and delivery techniques;
- Designing and developing Project Management Offices (PMO) to directly manage or provide oversight of project delivery;
- Providing hands-on project management duties of major projects or programs and building tools that can be used throughout the organization;
- Taking over failing projects and turning them around to recover project timelines and stakeholder confidence;
- Analyzing product development and solution delivery methodologies to identify enhancements.
A typical consulting project involves managing other consulting firm delivery teams, individual consultants and many client employees from both the business and technical groups. My areas of focus are managing large projects and programs and building effective PMO’s.
I’ve helped clients in the US as well as many countries in Asia and Europe. Bridging the cultural and communication gaps between disparate international working groups and building tools to help all teams communicate and understand requirements, plans and status is a skill I’ve developed well.
